I am reaching out to request your valued endorsement as I embark on the journey to become the North East Independent School District Board Trustee for District 6.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a steadfast dedication to education, coupled with a genuine commitment to our community. My track record speaks to my unwavering passion for fostering an environment that empowers our children, supports parents, uplifts educators, and strengthens the NEISD community as a whole.

I bring to the table a wealth of educational experience and institutional knowledge that positions me as a capable leader to propel our district forward. Having worked tirelessly within the education sector, I have gained a profound understanding of the challenges and opportunities that our schools face. My goal is to leverage this knowledge to ensure that every child receives the quality education they deserve.

I am driven by a vision of a school district that not only meets the academic needs of our students but also fosters an inclusive and supportive environment. With your endorsement, I am confident in my ability to effect positive change and make a lasting impact on the lives of those within the North East Independent School District.

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts!

“Our recommendation goes to Terri Chidgey on her own merits. She is a powerhouse. Chidgey worked for the district for 41 years as a teacher and principal at Stone Oak and Tuscany Heights elementary schools, and executive director for curriculum development.

Few school board candidates are as qualified as Chidgey, who is admired by teachers, former students and parents.

That admiration deserves to be reflected at the ballot box.

I am honored to be endorsed by the North East AFT. Educators make a difference daily in our children’s lives, and I am committed to advocating for them.

Terri Chidgey

Candidate for NEISD Board Trustee District 6

Terri Chidgey is a HUGE supporter of librarians and Libraries in NEISD! April is School Library Month and April 7 – 13th is National Library Week! NEISD librarians are the best in the world when it comes to collaborating with each other, working with their students and communities to build the love of reading within each child! Terri Chidgey is a lifelong friend and colleague. As a principal, Terri knew that the library IS the hub of the school and supported her librarians 150% in developing curricular programs, budgets to buy books and materials to support the students and staff, and allowing the leadership of the librarians to build the bridge between the school and its community!  Terri supported the library program for years as the Executive Director of Curriculum! You’ll see Terri in the libraries and classrooms as a guest reader because she LOVES to share her love of reading with the kids. As a former teacher and librarian in NEISD who worked with Terri at Stone Oak Elementary and Tuscany Heights Elementary, I ask each of you to vote for Terri Chidgey for NEISD Trustee District 6.

Sue Kuentz

Educational Consultant/Storyteller

Ms. Terri Chidgey was the principal at Stone Oak Elementary when Dallas Peeples started kindergarten almost twenty years ago. We were heartbroken and lost after recently losing our Harper. She, along with her amazing teachers, were loving and welcoming and made SOE feel like home. I would like to think that we are special, but Ms. Chidgey made every child feel that way, and she knew each student by name!

She has a heart for serving our children and the education experience to do it well! If you are in District 6 or have friends who live there, please come out and vote—the dates are below.

A VOTE for Terri will bless our kids, we all need that!!

EARLY VOTING APRIL 22-30

(except Friday, Apr. 26, the Battle of Flowers County Holiday)

ELECTION DAY MAY 4

Tina Peeples

Terri Chidgey was the principal at Stone Oak Elementary when my two sons, Holden and Brien, attended school there. Holden had severe disabilities. Terri hired the most loving and caring teachers and highly qualified staff who went above and beyond every day to ensure that my boys and all the students at Stone Oak had the best experience and learning environment. Holden had previously attended two other elementary schools in NEISD, and no one came close to following his ARD/IEP. I came to realize that the principal was the lifeblood of the school and set the tone not only for the teachers and staff but the students and families as well. Terri Chidgey is an exceptional candidate for a NEISD school board member, and I strongly recommend her.

I want to see educators’ work honored and supported instead of questioned. Terri’s knowledge and experience will be a great asset to the Board.

You are already the best and most supportive leader for all of us through the years, not to mention the biggest advocate for what’s BEST for NEISD students, staff, and community!!!

Terri Chidgey has a well-deserved fan club of parents whose children prospered with Terri as principal and/ or as a teacher. I am one of those grateful parents. Terri was my children’s exceptional elementary school principal.

Terri brings a wealth of knowledge, practical experience, and a spirit of cooperation to the table. Please check out her credentials and award-winning recognition not only locally or statewide but nationally as well.

She has my vote, and I hope she will have yours!

We wish we could vote for Terri Chidgey. She was our first school principal. Moving from a small town to the big city was overwhelming, but her kindness and commitment to our children made us feel safe. We faced a few challenges, and Terri never wavered in her leadership and dedication to our children. Our kids are grown. And we still talk about her when we get together.

Kendra Russel

For all my San Antonio friends, please vote for Terri Chidgey in your upcoming election!
While my daughter was never one of Terri’s students, she has been a champion, supporter, and cheerleader for Taylor her entire life. We are huge fans of “Ms Chidgey”, both personally and professionally. Her compassion, care, knowledge, expertise, and integrity make her an ideal candidate for this position and every child would benefit from her victory in this election!

I had the privilege of working with Terri for over 20 years. Terri ALWAYS made decisions based on what was best for the students in NEISD. She was always professional and listened carefully to other opinions. She was highly respected not only by teachers and administrators, but also by community members. Terri Chidgey is a true leader. She would make an outstanding NEISD Board member and do an excellent job in meeting community/student needs.

Donna Brummet

She is the best leader for this position. Can’t wait for her experience and leadership to help NEISD once again.
